Community Budget Meeting - July 14, 2019

Please join us on July 14th at the Kent Fire House at 10:00am for the Property Owner Association's 2020 budget meeting. 

The agenda for the meeting is as follows: 

• Lake Assessment & Management Updates  
• Budget Discussion
• Voting Procedures 
• General Discussion

Please note, the 2020 budget will not be voted on during this meeting. Voting for the budget will occur via ballots which will be mailed to residents and then returned (via mail) to Kent Town Hall for ballot counting.

Kent Cleanup Day Today!!!

Please join us today for  Kent Cleanup Day...we will be meeting at the beach at 11:00 to help clean up our lake community! Safety vests, gloves, and garbage bags will be supplied by the Town of Kent.

All participants will receive a sticker...show this sticker at several local shops and restaurants for great discounts and promotions (see below)!

Lake Management Update: Hydro-raking To Be Performed In April 2019

The Lake Tibet Property Owners Association has contracted with Aquatic Technologies, Inc., of Branchville, New Jersey, to perform hydro-raking within the southern sections of Lake Tibet. The purpose of the hydro-raking is to remove the lily pad root systems. For more information regarding the hydro-raking method, please visit this website.

The hydro-raking will begin the first week in April and will be performed for 5 days. This is being paid for by the Lake Tibet Park District funds and will cost approximately $14,300. 

Aquatic Technologies is also contracting directly with waterfront property owners to have individual waterfront areas hydro-raked. Many thanks to the residents who have agreed to pay for this service....having more of the lake hydro-raked benefits us all! 

Please note, the hydro-raking is being performed under a NYS Department of Environmental Conservation permit.
